Preface: Throughout the semester in ENGL390, students were to be working on a final research paper. The paper was on science topic of their choosing, and involved the students synthesizing their learned skills in this course to craft an argument for a potential policy change to a relevant audience. As this is the largest assignment in the class and quite involved, student meetings were held as a guiding measure for the students. The following lesson plan was created as a guideline to run the student meetings, ensuring that students had additional direction on how to find success with their final paper, and the course overall.
*This semester did not involve student meetings, as students were to complete the final paper individually rather than in a group. However this lesson plan was still of value when creating announcements for students. It was useful to be able to look back on this lesson plan, to find points of interest to point out to students as they ask questions or have concerns about the final paper.
